Across borders, across cities, across the world — people are finding their voice. THE MOVEMENT is inspired by the energy of collective action, solidarity, courage, and a world in motion.
People gather, organize, protest, vote and demand accountability. Their causes differ, and so do their circumstances. This page reports what happened, with sources, and does not claim these events share one goal or that THE MOVEMENT speaks for any of them.

A student-led movement takes its demands to the ballot box.
Protests began after the November 2024 collapse of a railway-station canopy in Novi Sad that killed 16 people, widely blamed on corruption. Early calls for a transparent investigation grew into demands for early elections. In the snap parliamentary vote on 25 October 2026, Aleksandar Vučić said a sample-based projection showed the Student List winning roughly 135–140 of 250 seats against about 105 for his alliance, and conceded defeat. These are projections and a concession, not certified results; the official count had not been confirmed in the reporting reviewed.

Hundreds of thousands march over school funding and living costs.
Demonstrations on Saturday 24 October followed student blockades that began in mid-September over school conditions and access to higher education. France's Interior Ministry counted 410,000 participants nationwide, 110,000 of them in Paris; the CGT union put the national figure near 800,000. Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez said almost 1,000 people were detained nationwide and that the Paris march was largely peaceful. Counts differ by source and are attributed to whoever issued them.

A Gen Z–led uprising over a social media ban and corruption.
Protests began on 8 September 2025 after the government blocked dozens of social media platforms, and widened into demands to tackle corruption. The ban was lifted, but unrest continued; reports put the first-day death toll at no fewer than 19. Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli resigned on 9 September 2025. Later developments are not covered here.
Nationwide protests against proposed tax increases peaked on 25 June 2024, when demonstrators briefly entered Parliament; Reuters reported 23 deaths in the unrest. On 26 June, President William Ruto said he would not sign the bill and that it would be withdrawn, and announced austerity cuts. Some protesters kept demonstrating, citing wider grievances.
Student protests over job quotas became a broader challenge to the government.
Protests began peacefully in July 2024 against a quota system for government jobs. Amid a deadly crackdown they grew into demands for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's resignation. She resigned and left the country on 5 August 2024, and Muhammad Yunus was sworn in as head of an interim government on 8 August. Casualty figures vary by source and are not given here.

What is THE MOVEMENT?
THE MOVEMENT is a community-oriented Solana meme coin inspired by global collective action and the imagery of a world in motion, launching on Pump.fun.
It is a cultural idea, not a political organization. It has no governance rights, no charitable or activism funding, no political endorsements and no promised utility. Buying the token does not support any protest, cause or organization.
